Ironing the shirt or any dress material is one among the essential skills you ought to know. Well, I usually end up wearing wrinkled shirts for most of the times, but there are days when you have to dress up well. But don’t have an Ironing Board? Nothing to worry about! There are a hell lot of options you have got which can easily replace this board.
How to Iron Without an Ironing Board
People who usually run the iron machine on board, are not aware of the fact that they can still iron the clothes without an Ironing Board.
The base should be a flat surface, and also a heat-resistant one. Thus any flat surface can be used for ironing purpose. Below are some of the common options for getting the work started.
The Basic One – Floors!
On the number one position, we got the Floors. They are the basic and simple choice which is always reliable when you don’t have an Ironing Board. You need to make sure that the floor is clean first. If it is not, then sweep the floor and clean it with a mop. Place any wool blanket, thick towel or any cloth which separates the floor and the fabric (that is to be ironed).
There is one ironing blanket which is specifically designed to protect the floors from getting damaged with the high intense heat.
Choose a Table
Even a table with an average height and good quality built can work as an ironing board. All the working remains the same as seen for the previous ‘Floors’ option. For the tables, you will have to place any cloth or an ironing blanket on the table for protecting it from any ironing damage.
There is one ironing board which is used along with the table top. These portable boards have got tiny legs, and with all the foaming pads on it.
Got any flat board?
This is among the old techniques adopted way before the arrival of the ironing boards. If you have a simple plain board, which is pretty obvious flat in shape, then it can also serve the purpose of the modern ironing board. If you got a board with all the needful qualities, then balance it on two chairs and get the work started.
The only requirement is that the board, as well as the base used for balancing, both of them, must be sturdy.
Iron Bags can also do the job
This final option is for those people who are looking out for a compact solution. There may be users who have got less space, and cannot easily get a table or an ironing board installed at their place.
You guys can resort to an ironing bag. This bag is used for storing the Iron safely in a compact manner. So when the iron is not in use, you can place it in this iron bag.
When you want to iron any cloth, take it out from the bag. Then place the bag on a flat surface, so that it acts like a pad on which you can place any piece of cloth. That’s it!
